Let's Fight Back - FFES during second wave of COVID 19 Pandemic

Despite all the odds, FF students and faculty have demonstrated their dedication to learning throughout these turbulent times. We write our objectives in stone but plans in sand and that is why we did not stop working while  COVID-19 pandemic hit the country in March 2020. We achieved many milestones during this period including introduction of online classes for students, holding first ever online assessment tests for students all across the country and making use of all available platforms to reach out to maximum students and parents. That's why when we resumed the regular classes, our maximum students were ready to pick up the pace and take next examination. Alhamdullilah

Now since the country is preparing to fight the second wave of the pandemic and it is likely that the  institutions will be closed to keep the spread in check, we will again shift our focus to 100% online classes. We hope that this time, the effectiveness will increase manifold as students and faculty are now more familiar with use of technology and online teaching learning process than we were in March when we first introduced online classes.

We at FFHO are always there to support and facilitate the faculty in any endeavor to show their best. From today, we are introducing a series of uploading guidelines to help you all in conducting successful sessions. First in this regard is the 'Checklist for teachers'. The instructions and tips will be uploaded on the blog. Stay tuned!

P.S. We would love to hear from the teachers, students and management for their suggestions and topics to be covered.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and  Be Positive!

'Aside from the sheer joy of exercising the imagination, research shows reading for pleasure improves literacy, social skills, health, and learning outcomes. It gives people access to culture and heritage and empowers them to become active citizens, who can contribute to economic and social development.'

The busy life style of today and alternate means of communication have moved us away from book reading, Now when we all have limited social interaction, we can and must use this time to go back to reading. Although pleasure of reading a book by holding it in hands is matchless, we can use technology and gadgets to read them when we cannot go out to buy or borrow books. There are numerous websites that offer free online books which are either available to read online or even download (in all formats) for offline reading. FF Online Eduaction Programme- COVID-19: Making Holidays Productive

As a progressive organisation, we are committed to reach out to our students and faculty in all situations -best or adverse and as per our motto ,'Write your Objectives in Stone but Plans in Sand', we always have contingency plan to achieve our objectives.
Due to unexpected closure of institutions in wake of COVID-19, significance of FF Online Education Programme has increased manifold. The steps taken in this regard include:

In March 2020, we closed our institutions complying to the instructions of the Govt and worked to provide an alternate platform to keep the academic activities ongoing as well as assisting parents in homeschooling.

As soon as the institutions were closed in March, we provided the blueprint of 'Making Holidays Productive' with a list of family oriented activities to facilitate parents in keeping kids busy in productive activities. It was also aimed to develop a close bonding among family members, relieving the stress level due to current situation, teaching children to take care of their family, home and themselves and to learn through fun.

In April 2020, we launched FF E-Classroom Portal, as the main forum for online teaching and learning activities. Accounts for all the faculty, students of Middle and Senior Sections and relevant officers in HO were created. Features of this forum include

Statistics about institutions, faculty and students
Scheduling online classes
Availability of  e-resources in terms of SOS, textbooks, links for video lessons and sites, e-books, Summer Vacation Task and other relevant material.
Tools to schedule online classes for students and faculty
Tools to upload and download assignments
Revision Plan and Revision Tests (Question Papers) for Board classes
Online Training Dashboard
Online Monitoring Dashboard for senior management

With effect from April 2020, online classes for Class VI onward are operational. Keeping in view various limitations, other forums like whatsapp and forwarding of offline video lessons are also being utilised.

With effect from April 2020, online training sessions (Zone-Wise) for all the faculty including Principals, VPs, SHs, Subject Teachers and Newly Inducted Teachers are also being conducted.

We will keep fighting the adversities in the best possible way.

FF Online Education Programme

FF takes pride in providing customised training to its faculty as per the Need Analysis of the system. Training is our forte and we always keep striving to raise standards through SWOT analysis of our training programme, keeping abreast with latest trends in education and training, equipping ourselves with new skills and taking initiatives to introduce innovative yet easy and user friendly ways of teaching/training and learning.

In 2018, T & E, Education Deptt redefined its training programme as 'FF Training Regime ' as part of our five years Education Development Plan 2018-2023, where a number of new aspects were explored. One of the significant aspects introduced was 'integration of online and offline training programmes'. We introduced several online initiative including our much awaited first ever Online Montessori Training Course. Bythe grace of Allah Almighty, we have completed first phase of this programme and all Montessori teachers (PG-II) have undergone extensive online and offline training.

Taking a step further we have expanded our Online Training Programme to students as well, particularly in the wake of current COVID -19 Pandemic spread. Due to closure of schools in March and to ensure social distancing, a number of steps were taken under our 'FF Online Education Programme - COVID-19 - Making Holidays Productive'. These include:

  • Establishment of ' FF E-Classroom Portal' with all required resources and tools available to run an online education programme
  • Conducting Online classes of students through Zoom online sessions as well as Whatsapp group to make this programme inclusive
  • Organising Online Training Sessions for Faculty and Management using Zoom online sessions and Google Classroom as the main online meeting forums
  • Working on creating a digital resource bank for online teaching at all levels - which will facilitate online teaching-learning in sha Allah

Our faculty is our strength and our students are our asset. We will keep working to find the best possible solutions to overcome the obstacles, keep going and give our best shot  despite all the limitations.

Together we are Brilliant!
